Milk Tastes Great

This is what is making me happy today. My first delivery of local milk in Charlotte (something I haven't had since Windy Ridge Dairy in Indiana, Pa., stopped delivering, oh I dunno...four decades ago?)...

Icy cold glass bottles clinking...Brian, the friendly milk truck driver...cream so thick and rich there is a separate layer on top... 1 doz. eggs from a local farm...and Brian promising to make sure I get 1 dozen eggs every Tuesday I get a delivery (from Lakeview Farms, just about 15 minutes away in SC)

What more do I really need in life?

I also just received my first delivery of local milk last Friday (in Colorado). The difference in taste and texture is extraordinary. And I love love love the cottage cheese!

I am SO jealous! I cannot find local organic milk in glass bottles. The local organic/farmer's outlet told me it doesn't exist because of the way bottling is set up. But one store in our area has non-organic milk in glass so that must not be true.

Nothing better. I wish I could get a supply of good quality fresh milk.
